Maintel has announced its latest cloud offering, Maintel Cloud- powered by Avaya.

The carrier grade service, targeted at mid-market enterprises, leverages the full capabilities of the Avaya Aura® Contact Centre and Unified Communications product suites, part of Avaya's customer and team engagement portfolio, delivered as a secure cloud utility service.

Maintel is one of just a handful of early adopter partners selected to deliver the new Avaya Cloud Solutions service over BT Wholesale's high speed, high quality, managed Ethernet network. The solution provides customers with a "pay-as-you-go" model for increased business flexibility, and at the same time, offers enhanced levels of functionality and availability to end users.

Eddie Buxton, CEO of Maintel, commented, "To remain competitive in today's marketplace and meet increasing customer service expectations, businesses need highly effective communications that can adapt and be easily implemented. We're keen to enhance our cloud services portfolio further to support our aggressive expansion plans and enable us to take advantage of a booming market and strong demand among the end user community across all our key verticals.'

"Maintel Cloud - powered by Avaya enables businesses to replace unsupported legacy systems with a feature rich cloud service that's cost effective, scalable and resilient, providing enterprise communications for employees, contact centre and remote workers to improve efficiency and boost productivity."

Following its acquisition of Proximity Communications last year, Maintel is now one of the largest and most highly skilled providers in the communications sector. The Group has been working with Avaya for over 20 years and received the Avaya Technical Partner of the Year Award 2014. Maintel is also one of only a small percentage of UK companies to hold four or more ISO certifications, including 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), 20000 (IT Service Management) and 27001 (Information Security).

Simon Culmer, managing director, UK and Ireland, Avaya, commented, "Flexibility is key in this customer centric world. Dialling services up or down can keep companies responsive and help them manage costs. Maintel recognises this and we are excited to name them amongst the first of our partners to offer this genuinely differentiated service. The group's rich history of working with Avaya, combined with its knowledge and service guarantees makes this a compelling proposition for organisations that want to explore the potential of hosting their enterprise or contact centre communications platform in the cloud."
