Telx® has announced a enterprise-grade connection to Google Cloud Platform with Google Cloud Interconnect across its national portfolio.

Google Cloud Platform enables developers and enterprises to build, test and deploy applications on Google's highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure with the choice of computing, storage and application services for web, mobile as well as backend solutions.

Telx business customers can now use a private interconnection to Google Cloud Platform's products in conjunction with Telx's Cloud Xchange, which meets the needs of enterprises, cloud providers and network providers by bringing them together in a unique ecosystem within Telx data centers. With tailored hybrid cloud solutions available through Cloud Xchange, organizations can optimize application specific sensitivities around securing data, system performance, and operational control with the flexibility to decide which technologies best support business objectives.

Google Cloud Interconnect gives Telx customers access to any Google Cloud Platform resource like Google App Engine, Google Compute Engine, Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, and many others. Telx is deploying Google Cloud Interconnect for a direct, secure connection to Google's network edge that provides customers with a reliable connection to Google Cloud Platform. Telx customers also benefit from reduced routing issues, congestion, and latency, which provide a more consistent network experience.

"Extending Telx's service offerings with Google Cloud Interconnect benefits our business customers with even greater interconnection optionality that is seamless as well as cost-effective," said Chris Downie, chief executive officer at Telx. "This new capability provides our customers with a secure and reliable way to access Google's suite of cloud services from our data centers across the United States."
