Telx®has announced the addition of hybrid cloud solutions within the Telx Cloud Xchange — an ecosystem of premium cloud solutions from a strategic and diverse set of cloud service provider partners.

The explosive growth and adoption of cloud services is fueling tremendous changes in IT. For enterprises in all industries, a key strategic initiative for CTOs and CIOs should be to look for the best ways to leverage the benefits of cloud services. Cloud providers also need to differentiate their offerings in order to compete and thrive in an ever more crowded marketplace. Network providers need to support dynamic access to cloud destinations as a natural extension of the wide area networks they provide to enterprises.

The Telx Cloud Xchange meets the needs of enterprises, cloud providers and network providers by bringing them together in a unique ecosystem within Telx data centers. Now with tailored hybrid cloud solutions available, organizations can optimize application specific sensitivities around securing data, system performance, and operational control with the flexibility to decide which technologies best support business objectives.

The Cloud Xchange also has a comprehensive set of public cloud solutions from providers that offer speed-to-delivery, elasticity and utility based pricing so organizations can find the best match between available resources and workload demands. In addition, private cloud solutions are offered that are designed to meet customer specifications with a highly available, secure and scalable environment based on dedicated, non-shared servers that allow critical apps to easily run in complex environments. Managed services are also available on each of the three platform options which increase efficiency as well as reduce downtime and risk.

"With access to an abundant set of cloud service providers offering public, private and now hybrid cloud solutions, we're helping providers grow their business while enterprises benefit from tailored solutions that tackle demanding workloads and offer the flexibility needed to meet business goals," said Chris Downie, chief executive officer at Telx. "The enhanced Telx Cloud Xchange is core to our business as we continue to foster relationships with cloud service providers and enterprises."

Partner Testimonials

"Peak has seen tremendous growth in the cloud arena and as such we designed our platform and patented Layer 2 Peak to Peak Direct Connections to complement providers like Telx that are building out robust and secure cloud ecosystems," said Luke Norris, CEO and Founder of Peak. "CTO and CFO's today are truly transforming their businesses by leveraging the cloud and realizing increased capabilities, and added efficiencies."

"Our five year relationship with Telx has been multifaceted in nature and we are impressed with the quality and diversity of their facilities and the professionalism that they display, on all fronts," said Frank Jadevaia, president of InterCloud Systems. "Our partnership offers both Telx and InterCloud customers a unique opportunity to deploy cloud services, both as hybrid and private cloud, coupled with low latency via our connectivity to hundreds of service providers nationwide. As we look to grow our footprint, Telx has all the elements to support our strategies."

"As the demand for cloud services increases, our clients require more complex deployments, a flexible geographic reach, and someone to manage it on their behalf," said Jon Thomsen, chief executive officer at EasyStreet. "As a Telx Cloud Xchange partner we are able to extend our reach and managed solutions across all Telx data centers which provide our clients more options. We are also able to bring to the Telx community a proven set of tailored managed cloud solutions which deliver better return on investments and reduced risks."

The announcement of the expanded Telx Cloud Xchange comes in advance of MarketplaceLIVE West, Telx's biannual industry, customer and partner event, taking place in San Francisco on November 13, 2014 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center. The event brings together leading cloud computing providers, service providers, financial markets firms, large enterprises, media and entertainment companies as well as industry analysts, network strategists, and C-Level technology experts.
