Orchestrate Adds Geospatial Search To Its Database Service
With the addition of geospatial search queries, orchestrate now delivers a complete service for all of a developer’s database needs.
Orchestrate has announced that it has introduced Geospatial Search to its multi-tenant database platform. With the addition of Geospatial Search, Orchestrate now offers developers a complete database and data processing solution for building Internet of Things (IoT), Web and mobile applications, without the operational burden on managing, monitoring and maintaining multiple databases themselves.
Developers can now use Orchestrate to store and map location data with bounding box and radius queries in order to find objects by location, and sort results by distance from a point. The Orchestrate Geospatial API meets the requirements of most applications that feature location-based services or searching by location. For example, developers can assign locations to sensor data for Internet of Things applications, or add location to directories for discovering local businesses, and so on.
