AccelOps, Inc. has announced that it has hired Jay Phillips, a former Fusion-io executive, as vice president of worldwide sales.
Phillips has more than 20 years’ experience in technology sales, running direct and indirect channels and OEM.
“We are delighted to have Jay join the AccelOps team,” said Flint Brenton, AccelOps president and CEO. “He brings deep expertise in data center sales and strategic execution, which will serve him well in his new role.”
Phillips most recently served as vice president with Fusion-io, which was acquired by SanDisk. At Fusion-io, he led sales, spanning all aspects of software and hardware solutions. Before Fusion-io, he was vice president of worldwide sales for ioTurbine, which was acquired by Fusion-io.
Prior to that, he was a director at Dell, via Dell’s acquisition of EqualLogic, where he was regional vice president of sales. Phillips also has worked at NetApp, Boston Scientific and PepsiCo.
Phillips holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Arizona.
