INTERXION HOLDING NV has launched its new service that enables private connections to multiple cloud service providers (CSPs).

Cloud Connect will provide enterprises, service providers (SPs), system integrators (SIs) and carriers, private, secure and high performance connections to multiple clouds from within Interxion data centers, making it easier for them to shift business critical workloads and real time data to the cloud.

By providing a private connection between the customer and the CSP, Cloud Connect enables organizations to bypass the public Internet and achieve service level guarantees on latency, throughput and security. As a result the service enables enterprises, carriers and SPs/SIs to build complex hybrid IT solutions with the CSPs of their choice over a single connection.

Cloud Connect makes it easy to do business, offering online ordering via the Interxion portal and enabling customers to manage their virtual local area network (LAN) connection to each CSP. This improves the privacy and performance of their cloud service connections and quickens their cloud deployment time.

“Every organization beginning a migration to the cloud faces the challenge of making the hybrid model work with their existing IT installations. The choice of data center is important because the applications running in different environments need to interact in a secure and high performance manner,” said Mario Galvez, Interxion’s VP Product Management. “Cloud Connect makes this decision-making process easier by offering multiple private connect services from a single connection. This next-generation platform offers our communities of interest - a long established, vibrant and entrepreneurial group of cloud providers, carriers, service providers and system integrators - an easy way to connect, transact and develop services with each other, at the highest performance levels.”

Initial Cloud Connect deployments will launch in London, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam in the third quarter of 2014. More locations will follow in 2015.

“As the use of hybrid IT solutions increases, so too does the need for a data center provider who understands the complexities of these environments and has the technical capability to provide easy interconnection. Cloud Connect ensures that Interxion customers can access their multi-cloud environments and connect to our growing CSP community in an easy, cost-effective way,”continues Galvez.

In support of the Cloud Connect platform, Interxion will deploy the Cloud Networking Solution from BTI Systems. BTI Systems is an award-winning, market-leading provider of cloud networking software and systems. BTI’s solution provides Interxion a high-density, SDN-enabled converged packet optical platform, a software control layer enabling customer self-service, and a support plan that will provide the highest performance and reliability of cloud connections.
