Peak 10, Inc. has announced that for the second consecutive year it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Niche quadrant of the “Cloud-Enabled Managed Hosting Report, North America.”[i]

Gartner Magic Quadrants represent a culmination of research in specific high-growth technology markets. The highly competitive positioning of various providers in those markets is presented through a quadrant graph that states which ones are considered Leaders, Visionaries, Niche or Challengers.

While Gartner doesn’t rank providers or specify which ones are better than others, it does plot the four types of providers on a graph in terms of their ability to execute (the Y axis) and completeness of vision (the X axis). This information can be useful for understanding a market — in this instance, the managed cloud market — and some of its key players.

For the Cloud-enabled Managed Hosting Magic Quadrant, Gartner describes the market as dealing “in standardized, productized hosting offerings that combine a cloud-enabled system infrastructure (CESI) platform — comprising compute, network and storage hardware owned and operated by a service provider — with cloud management platform software to facilitate self-service and rapid provisioning with managed services.”  Gartner analysts evaluated 19 services providers offering managed hosting in North America, based on the criteria of 'ability to execute' and 'completeness of vision.'

“We believe our positioning in the Magic Quadrant again confirms the strength of our overall business strategy and vision for our growing portfolio of cloud services,” said Monty Blight, vice president of sales operations and product strategy for Peak 10. “By employing a consultative approach and staying abreast of industry trends, we are able to develop cloud solutions that adapt and scale to meet the changing needs of our customers.”

Peak 10’s cloud solutions include Public, Hosted Private and Recovery models. Built on enterprise-class infrastructure, they offer the throughput and processing speed suitable for demanding production environments or high I/O applications, yet are cost effective enough for all application tiers.

Peak 10 cloud solutions also include the technical controls and security measures required to meet a variety of regulatory and industry standards, enabling customers to leverage Peak 10’s infrastructure to help their organizations meet many of their compliance and security requirements. A wide array of managed services are available to further meet the unique needs of organizations across a multitude of industry sectors.
