Infinera and Hetzner Online have announced the deployment of the Infinera XTS-3300 to extend Hetzner Online’s data center business into Finland. The XTS-3300 is designed to be the industry’s easiest to use, compact, high-performance subsea network solution, enabling internet content providers (ICPs) like Hetzner Online to quickly deploy low-latency subsea networks.
Hetzner Online owns several data centers in Germany and expanded its network into Finland with a subsea optical network powered by the Infinera XTS-3300 to address demand from customers in Eastern Europe and Russia. The new subsea network connects Hetzner Online’s existing metro terrestrial networks in both countries where the Infinera XTM-Series is deployed.
With the XTS-3300 and Infinera Instant Bandwidth, Hetzner Online can easily activate capacity on-demand and pay for that capacity as it is activated, accelerating time-to-revenue while lowering total cost of ownership. Infinera’s service and support teams provide Hetzner Online direct access to subsea optical network experts around the clock.
“Infinera is a trusted partner in Hetzner Online’s network, we found that the XTS-3300 performs better than advertised,” said Martin Fritzsche, head of network, Hetzner Online. “The XTS-3300 was easy to install and we quickly turned up new services to meet the needs of our customers.”
“At Infinera, we are focused on helping our customers win,” said Nick Walden, senior vice president, EMEA, Infinera. “We are honored to work with Hetzner Online to expand their operations into Finland with our industry-leading solutions for subsea and metro optical networks.”
