Cristie Software has released CloneManager 2.1 with new support for cloning and moving Windows and Linux machines to the Microsoft® Azure cloud platform. Combined with tailoring facilities which monitor and measure the resource needs of source machines to correctly provision the target machine, this release allows scalable deployment of machines to Azure.
CloneManager has already seen significant uptake by global managed service providers as well as large organizations requiring machine mobility. The added support for Microsoft Azure is a significant step in Cristie’s mission to offer cross platform migrations to and from all the major cloud providers as well as physical, virtual, and private cloud environments.
Features include file-based replication rather than image, unique CloneSync feature to rapidly synchronize a previously cloned machine with its source machine, and the ability to perform agentless migrations with no software being installed on the source machine.
