EPI announces it has awarded Netrality Properties’ Houston data center the ANSI-TIA-942-B conformity certification for Rating 3. The certification confirms the data center facilities meet the standards for concurrent maintainability in electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications.

“We are honored that our facility at 1301 Fannin has been recognized as meeting market status and receiving the Rated-3/Tier-3 conformity verification based on the requirements of the ANSI-TIA-942-B Certification” said Robert Weatherly, director of operations at Netrality’s Houston data center. “The certification covers over 2,600 items of criteria including all aspects of the physical data center, architecture, electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, fire suppression, and security.”

“Netrality is running a critical infrastructure,” said Joseba Calvo, managing partner, EPI LATAM. “Market research has proven that infrastructure including telecommunications, electrical and mechanical is the basis for an effective and efficient data center, which Netrality clearly understands. The Netrality team is dedicated to continuously improving their infrastructure.”

“We are seeing a greater than anticipated uptake of ANSI-TIA-942-B,” said Edward van Leent, chairman & CEO, EPI Group of Companies. “Recently, we have seen an increased demand from data centers requesting audits based on ANSI-TIA 942-B, as many indicated that there is now a single reference point for truly complete data center infrastructure. Customers also appreciate that ANSI-TIA 942 allows them to have a complete infrastructure analysis ensuring that business requirements are met. This is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ and ‘do-it-all-at-once’ standard. ANSI-TIA 942-B is becoming a de facto standard of data center infrastructure.”
