ASCO Power Technologies has introduced their new 500 kW portable load bank, which includes the ability to network multiple units. The model 2805 (part of the 2000 Series Portable Load Bank Line) represents the new standard for high capacity, portable load banks. The 2805 features as standard the Sigma™ LT control platform with “digital toggle” control, volt, amp, frequency and kilowatt meters, and quick disconnect receptacles. The 2805 provides a full 500 kW capacity at both 240 and 480 volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz. The unit will also provide 375 kW at 208 volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz.
The optional 4.3 in. color touchscreen hand held controller will allow user to network and monitor up to 25 load banks. The operator will be able to control the entire load bank network, or any individual load bank within the string. Easy to navigate screens allow system set up, volt, amp, frequency and kW monitoring, data logging, and load application. The dedicated USB port allows for data download and upload for software updates.
