EdgeConneX® has announced that its chief architect and vice president of innovation, Phill Lawson-Shanks, will present at DataCloud Europe. The conference takes place June 6-8, 2017 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. DataCloud Europe is a marquee annual event that focuses on the issues facing data center and cloud providers as well as endusers.

Lawson-Shanks is participating on two panels at the conference, both set to be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. The first panel at 15:30, moderated by Michalis Grigoratos, managing director, is titled, “Addressing the Many Faces of Edge Computing.” Lawson-Shanks will be joined in the discussion by Lex Coors, chief datacentre technology and engineering officer, Interxion; Paul Saville-King, president, CBRE Data Centre Solutions; and Jakob Carnemark, CEO, Aligned Energy.

Beginning at 16:35 on June 7, Lawson-Shanks will participate on a panel titled, “How Colocation Data Center Meets the Ever-Changing Requirements of Our Rapid-paced Digital Economy.” The discussion, moderated by Greg Jones, director of business development at Schneider Electric, will focus on how data centers need to keep pace with the enterprise requirement for bandwidth-intensive media and other cloud-based applications, and the ability to access such content with low latency and reliable connectivity. Lawson-Shanks will be joined on the panel by Fabrice Coquio, managing director, Interxion France; Olivier Micheli, CEO, DATA4 Group; and David Blumanis, CCO, SUPERNAP International.

EdgeConneX is continuing to extend the edge globally by making the cloud more secure, accessible and affordable. EdgeConneX’s Edge Data Centers® (EDCs) and expansion throughout Europe bring the cloud, content and applications closer to the enduser, reducing latency and avoiding capacity constraints, multiple network hops and centralized processing that occur in traditional internet architecture.

EdgeConneX specializes in providing purpose-built, power dense and edge of network EDCs and wireless solutions to enable the fastest delivery of content to end-users. EdgeConneX has created a new Edge of the Internet by designing and deploying facilities that are strategically positioned nearest to network provider aggregation points, ensuring the lowest latency data delivery, with an improved quality of service.
