T5 Data Centers™ has named David Horowitz to head operations for T5@Chicago as vice president of sales and marketing. In his new role, Horowitz will be responsible for promoting T5@Chicago as the newest data center in T5’s portfolio and laying the foundation for future expansion in the Chicagoland market.

Horowitz brings more than 12 years of industry experience to the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Horowitz has managed teams for both wholesale data center providers and data center commercial property specialists in the region. In his new role with T5, Horowitz will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategies for T5@Chicago and promoting T5’s commitment to the greater Chicago market. He also will be responsible for building and managing the T5@Chicago team, managing client relationships, and negotiating agreements.

“David is the first hire for our new T5@Chicago facility and his industry background and expertise will provide a solid foundation for our Chicago team,” said Aaron Wangenheim, COO, T5 Data Centers. “There is a real need for superior data center facilities in the region and with David’s help we expect Chicago to become one of our strongest markets.”

T5@Chicago is the company’s eighth and newest data center operation; a 208,000 sq-ft data center located in Elk Grove Village. T5@Chicago is already operational and partially occupied, having been recently acquired by T5. The data center went online last year and is a purpose-built facility with the same high-quality attributes as T5’s existing data center portfolio. The building features a baseline Tier III infrastructure with an N+1 electrical and mechanical topology, secure private data halls available from 540kW to 9.0MW, and the ability to easily customize operational controls in each data hall to accommodate each customer’s unique data center services requirements.
