Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager™ software version 1.53 provides information technology (IT) managers with improved protection for data center IT equipment through integration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise® (HPE) OneView and new functionality with the OpenStack management platform. Through these integrations, Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager software gives IT professionals the insight and control they need to manage and mitigate issues such as overheating equipment and power anomalies in order to improve availability of critical resources and maintain business continuity.
HPE OneView serves as an infrastructure automation engine to simplify operations by transforming everyday management of server, storage and network resources in physical and virtual environments. The innovative platform offers a unified workspace that allows an IT team to leverage the “one model, one data, one view” approach that increases the speed of IT delivery for new applications and services.
In addition to the HPE OneView integration, Intelligent Power Manager now has capabilities to manage the OpenStack management platform. Intelligent Power Manager’s updated connector provides capabilities of managing virtual machines, server workloads and storage volumes, including migration and shutdowns.
