The Critical Facilities Summit, the only event focused exclusively on the design, construction and management of mission critical facilities, announced that Chris Crosby, founder and CEO of Compass Datacenters and industry guru, will speak at this year's summit.
Crosby will deliver the Summit's General Session, "The New DC Planning Environment, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love my IT Department," on Wednesday, October 5.
"We're excited to have Chris back at the Critical Facilities Summit." remarked Wendy Dietzler, vice president of education and conferences for Trade Press Media Group, owner of the Summit. "Chris last spoke at the Summit in 2014 and remains one of our most popular speakers of all time."
Crosby has over 20 years of technology experience and over 10 years of real estate and investment experience. He writes the Unconventional Wisdom column for Mission Critical Magazine. Previously, Chris served as a senior executive and founding member of Digital Realty Trust. Crosby's honest, no-nonsense approach pulls no punches. Consequently, attendees can expect a frank discussion of the new data center planning environment, what the IT community needs from FMs, and more importantly, what the facilities unit needs to know about how to work in this new integrated community.
Crosby's session is just one of more than 35 educational sessions from today's thought leaders that provide an in-depth look at the leading trends in design, management and operations of mission critical facilities. The Summit offers sessions in six tracks for attendees to choose from, including:
- Design/build/manage
- Critical trends & innovations
- Executive briefing
- Energy & power
- In case of emergency
- Project spotlights
