Future Resource Engineering has announced that it has been named one of CIOReview magazine’s “20 Most Promising Data Center Solution Providers of 2016”. The announcement was made in in the publication’s “Data Center Special” issue, which also included an article highlighting the company’s work in the energy efficiency space.
The accolade comes at a fortuitous time for Future Resource Engineering, which works with enterprise or embedded data centers to diagnose facility and operational inefficiencies as well as implement turnkey solutions to reduce power usage and create a healthier bottom line. The firm’s work in 2015 resulted in the identification of more than 24 million kWh in energy savings (equating to $2.2 million in cost savings) and more than $1.4 million in available utility incentives to finance efficiency projects across 40 data centers in the United States. The facilities spanned a variety of industries: colocation, healthcare, higher education, government and telecommunications, all of which required improvements to existing systems, airflow management, and power efficiency.
“We are delighted to be recognized by CIOReview for Future Resource Engineering’s work in helping data centers reduce energy usage, enhance operations, and increase profitability,” said Tim Hirschenhofer, general manager of Future Resource Engineering. “Due to the many incentive programs currently offered by utility companies, we’ve seen a rising demand from data center owners and operators to make their facilities more energy efficient. The resulting reduction in energy and operational costs are a strong motivator, now more than ever as the utility-approved incentives have created a faster ROI on efficiency upgrades.”
