Announced in March of 2016, DCOI requires all federal data centers to install Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software and report on strategies to address inefficient processes, optimize existing facilities, achieve cost savings, and transition to more efficient operations. Mark Gaydos, Nlyte’s CMO will present this 30 minute webinar as a resource for federal data center managers who are seeking insight on:
- Decoding and defining DCOI terms
- Using a DCIM roadmap to meet the three main goals of DCOI: optimization, cost savings, and reduction of data centers
- Building a dashboard to monitor the five required optimization metrics
“Federal agencies are looking for more information and assistance, regarding the deployment of DCIM solutions to help optimize their data centers and meet DCOI regulations,” said Andrew Ryan, regional vice president of federal accounts for Nlyte Software. “In response, Nlyte has created a webinar resource, as well as a dedicated DCOI module to help agencies meet DCOI requirements.”
The “U.S. federal government mandates DCIM” a report by 451 Research estimates that approximately 30 agencies have deployed a DCIM solution to date. Nlyte counts 15 of those agencies as deploying or actively using their solution within civilian, DoD, and intelligence agencies.
