vXchnge has announced that they have earned the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, which tests the overall effectiveness of their Information Security Management System (ISMS). This certification, reviewed and conducted by A-LIGN, an independent, accredited ISO 27001-certification body by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), demonstrates vXchnge's ongoing commitment to providing its customers with superior security. Compliance with this standard confirms that vXchnge's security management program includes international standards to help vXchnge customers' better service their global clients.

The recent ISO 27001 certification covers all 15 vXchnge data centers across North America, supporting the secure operations of its colocation services. ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that include all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organization's information risk management processes. It's a systematic approach to managing private and sensitive information so that it remains secure.

"Our continued commitment to improve our service offering to enhance our customer experience is exemplified with this industry leading certification" said Keith Olsen, CEO of vXchnge. "The ISO 27001 certification reaffirms and complements our mission to protect our customers' businesses and brands. vXchnge provides its customers a safe and secure environment for their technology and application deployments across its US data center footprint."

The certification also promotes continuous improvement on information security policies through annual internal audits conducted by vXchnge, as well as risk identification and management, and employee training. ISO 27001 strengthens the controls present in SSAE 16 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA/HITECH and PCI DSS 3.1.
