Hammer Fiber Optic Investments, the New Jersey based Fiber Services provider, has launched in vXchnge’s Philadelphia facility. The announcement was made today by vXchnge, a Designed for Performance® carrier-neutral colocation services provider.

Hammer Fiber offers an array of carrier services in the region and has chosen to launch in vXchnge’s data center to establish a direct route from Philadelphia to New York. Additionally, vXchnge will be used as a central data hub for Hammer Fiber’s layer 3 services that they will be launching early 2nd quarter of this year. Hammer Fiber brings next generation, cutting edge home entertainment and video services to subscribers which integrates with all devices — allowing access to whatever content their subscribers want, when they want it.

“Keeping our subscribers connected and fully integrated is a huge priority for us, and vXchnge offers seamless integration, best in class security practices as well as a highly-efficient facility, so we know our customers are in good hands” said Brian Snyder, VP of sales and marketing at Hammer Fiber. “It is vXchnge’s excellence in service, security and integration that made them an obvious choice for our low-latency direct route to New York from Philadelphia.”

vXchnge Philadelphia provides state-of-the-art design power, cooling and infrastructure redundancy in the heart of downtown. The facility is part of the company’s strategy to create “Built for Performance” data centers in edge growth markets to address “latency to customer” issues for the cloud and service providers that fuel the digital services economy. That and a strong commitment to safeguard customer data, vXchnge Philadelphia also provides next-generation security features with iris scanners, two-factor authentication and a cylindrical entry portal.

“We are very pleased to welcome Hammer Fiber to our state-of-the-art data center where they can serve their customers locally from the edge, from Philadelphia to New York,” said Ernest Sampera, chief marketing officer at vXchnge. “Our facilities are designed to support the performance and latency sensitive service applications like Hammer Fiber’s IP tv, voice and broadband — and with the brand protection we provide, their customers will receive the seamless and on-demand service they expect, without interruption.”
