OneNeck® IT Solutions has announced completion of the annual American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16, Type 2 SOC 1 examination. The examination included review of OneNeck’s processes, controls and procedures used to deliver to the company’s colocation, cloud and managed services at its Tier 3 data centers.
“Given the critical nature of the applications and data we host and support for our customers, it’s imperative that our SOC controls extend beyond colocation and encompass our cloud and managed services as well, in all of our data centers,” said Clint Harder, CTO and senior vice president at OneNeck. “This allows us to provide compliant hybrid IT solutions to our clients, including clear delineation for compliance responsibilities all the way to and through the application layer. Completing our SOC examination provides our clients with the necessary and appropriate assurances that demonstrate their mission-critical data is safe, secure and available when it’s hosted and/or managed in one of our data centers.”
The Type 2 SSAE 16 (SOC 1) examination was conducted by Shellman & Company, Inc., an independent CPA firm with extensive IT service provider experience. As part of the examination, the CPA firm focused on OneNeck’s procedures, including physical and logical security, incident, change, and problem management, network, systems, application monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
