What’s holding you back from having a world-class data center? If your challenges include outdated or inefficient cooling systems, then the answer could be easier and less expensive than you might think.
In more than 80% of the enterprise data centers we visit each year, we observe opportunities to reduce cooling and energy usage costs between 20% and 50%. And the good news is that the infrastructure changes required to improve efficiency also result in greater reliability or system uptime. Emerson Network Power recently surveyed IT, facilities, and data center managers in the United States and Canada about plans for upgrades in the coming year. The research revealed that half of all data center managers have or will perform thermal retrofit upgrades to their systems by the end of 2016.
