Global Capacity has announced the expansion of its OneMarketplaceTM with a diverse route, 72-mile fiber ring in San Francisco — its latest metro fiber ring providing connectivity services. In the last eight months, Global Capacity has lit over 210 miles of fiber across seven major metropolitan areas, including Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and now San Francisco. Global Capacity provides customers in each local market a portfolio of data connectivity services to support today's Internet, video, voice and Cloud applications that demand flexible, scalable and secure connectivity.

“Global Capacity is aggressively investing in building out metro fiber in several key markets precisely because there is high customer demand for our services in those locations,” shared Patrick Hannon, chief revenue officer of Global Capacity. “Expanding our network presence allows Global Capacity to offer services that enable our customers’ solutions - voice, data and the Cloud — at any speed from 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps.”

Global Capacity, an aggregator of networks, strategically built its metro rings to interconnect key network hubs, carrier hotels and Local Service Offices (LSOs) with high-demand data centers. The company’s metro fiber rings simplify Cloud connectivity by connecting both public and private data centers of all sizes with network concentration points to deliver the right connections and bandwidth for Cloud applications. By interconnecting a broad portfolio of access services including Broadband, Ethernet over Copper (EoC) and T1 with core high-bandwidth Ethernet and Wavelength services, Global Capacity is able to deliver end-to-end connectivity and make connecting across metros as simple as within data centers.

“Global Capacity’s continued investment in expanding the One Marketplace network is a testament to our commitment to simplify the connectivity process and provide customers with the right network solutions to effectively connect across the country, or across town to the destinations of their choice,” states Jack Lodge, president of Global Capacity. “We will continue to invest in our network, systems and processes to increase our value to our customers and proactively take steps to ensure performance, scale and ease of doing business.”

Global Capacity provides customers with the flexibility, speed and service options to connect business locations across the globe. At the heart of this offering is its innovative, award-winning One Marketplace platform, which combines an interconnected, aggregated data network with cloud-based applications that automate the design, pricing, delivery, and maintenance of network connectivity.
