Infomart Data Centers has announced that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has named its RackReady™ service as a 2015 Data Center Excellence Award winner, presented by infoTECH Spotlight. Infomart Data Centers is a pioneer in bridging the retail / wholesale colocation gap with innovative solutions such as RackReady, which offers a simple and flexible option for colocation customers who are ready to migrate to a wholesale solution, but do not want to manage the costs or complexity of building out their own data center suite.

Infomart’s RackReady solution provides wholesale customers the opportunity to lease a dedicated, fully-built data center space that is ready for IT deployment, and benefit from greater control, security and economics than shared colocation space. RackReady eliminates the time and cost-intensive hassles of sourcing and engaging architects and contractors as well as commissioning power distribution equipment by designing, permitting and installing custom fit-outs that meet customers’ specific size, energy density and phasing IT requirements. RackReady is available for deployment in Infomart’s Portland, Silicon Valley and Dallas facilities, and will be available in the new Ashburn facility, when commissioned later this year.

“From data center design, to securing permits, through installation, RackReady is a turnkey solution that allows new tenants to simply place and turn-up their cabinets within Infomart’s data centers,” states John Sheputis, president of Infomart. “We are pleased that TMC and infoTECH Spotlight have recognized this innovative service, which provides a simplified, cost-effective and streamlined installation process.”

With RackReady, swapping out equipment, including upgrading power to the rack, is a simple and downtime-free process due to the product’s flexible and scalable components, reducing the total cost of operation (TCO) over time. Infomart’s RackReady architects work closely with customers to design solutions that meet specific power, density, and budgetary needs. Upon obtaining the necessary architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering permits, Infomart Data Centers builds the wholesale space and installs and tests electrical, cage, security, and containment components in order to prepare the space for customer racks.

The 2015 Data Center Excellence Award recognizes the most innovative and enterprising data center vendors who offer infrastructure or software, servers or cooling systems, cabling or management applications.

“Infomart Data Centers has displayed its commitment to quality and innovation in the development of the data center industry,” adds Rich Tehrani, chief executive officer, TMC. “I look forward to witnessing continued excellence from Infomart and their efforts toward improving the future of the data center industry.”
