CyrusOne has announced it has received the New Development of the Year (Colo) Award. CyrusOne was recognized at Arizona Data Center inaugural awards ceremony in Tempe on Thursday, Dec. 3.

“We are honored to be the recipient of this award,” said Kevin Timmons chief technology officer at CyrusOne. “The entire team has worked hard to ensure we deliver on the rapid design, planning, construction, and commissioning of our enterprise data center facilities throughout Arizona and around the world. We look forward to continuing this trend and efficient development activities to meet our customers’ expansion needs.”

CyrusOne’s Massively Modular® engineering can quickly deliver large-scale deployments in as little as 12 weeks to meet customer expansion needs while the CyrusOne National Internet Exchange (IX) delivers robust, low-cost connectivity between facilities when transporting data.

The inaugural event was organized by the Global Data Center Alliance, a newly formed organization dedicated to the promotion of the data center industry and the economic benefits that data centers bring to their communities. More than 150 individuals were in attendance, including enterprise and colocation data center brokers, engineers, architects, contractors, municipalities, and vendors.
