QTS Realty Trust commemorated the one-year anniversary of its Dallas-Fort Worth mega data center opening on October 15. The 700,000 sq ft data center — formerly a semiconductor manufacturing facility — achieved LEED Gold certification for its Phase I construction and has been recognized for its hardened, reinforced structure.

QTS Dallas-Fort Worth services nearly two dozen customers, utilizing the complete QTS 3C integrated services platform of custom data centers, colocation, and cloud-enabled systems infrastructure. More than 54,000 sq ft of raised floor is currently commissioned, and QTS has the ability to rapidly deliver an additional 41,000 sq ft of raised floor space.

“We are proud that we’ve established ourselves in the Dallas area in our first year and we look forward to continuing to build on our early successes here,” said Dan Bennewitz, chief operating officer, sales and marketing - QTS. “It’s well known that Dallas-Fort Worth is a competitive market, and we strongly believe that our premium solutions and customer service differentiate us from other data center providers.”

The state-of-the-art facility has added more than 80 full-time and contract jobs and up to 300 construction-related jobs to the thriving Dallas-Fort Worth data center market. Employees of QTS Dallas-Fort Worth actively participate in local business and civic activities as well, including Christ’s Haven for Children, which recently honored QTS as Corporate Partner of the Year.

QTS Dallas-Fort Worth is located at 6431 Longhorn Drive in Irving, TX. The company will offer site tours and a networking luncheon on Friday, November 13, focused on connectivity solutions in conjunction with technology partners.
