Sensaphone® Releases Infrastructure Monitoring System
The monitoring system is designed to detects environmental threats to data centers.
The Infrastructure Monitoring System (IMS) 4000 from Sensaphone® provides low-cost 24/7 monitoring of data center conditions in multiple locations across the globe. Unexpected events like power failure, flood and HVAC malfunction are hazardous to data centers. In addition, fluctuating environmental conditions like humidity and temperature can damage computer equipment and cause network inefficiencies and unnecessary downtime. Early detection of these threats can keep systems performing optimally and save thousands of dollars in equipment, time and productivity.
A new educational video is now available that shows how the IMS-4000 system simultaneously monitors data center environment and network devices with IP addresses, such as network links, routers, printers and servers. Each base unit supports up to eight environmental sensors to monitor critical conditions including temperature, humidity, smoke, sound level, motion, water leaks, intrusion and power outages.
