IO has announced that Patrick Flynn, group leader of sustainability, has been chosen to speak at the upcoming TEDxDayton conference on October 16, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Victoria Theater, 126 North Main Street, Dayton, OH. TEDxDayton is an independently organized event, licensed by TED, which aims to bring the spirit of idea sharing to a local level via self-organized events. At the event, which will be held on October 16, 2015 at the Victoria Theater, IO will join a group of influential speakers to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

“The Internet touches more of our lives than we realize, in the background everywhere while we go through our daily routines. It’s unprecedented in scale and impact and acts as our single species-wide central nervous system: sensing, transmitting, storing and processing information. The Internet is the largest thing mankind will EVER build. What is it we’ve made? Could we do a better job?” said Flynn.

As a sustainability expert, Flynn spends his days thinking about these very questions and will address these issues during his presentation, “The Biggest Machine Mankind Will Ever Build.”
