Peak 10, Inc. has announced the opening of its third data center facility in the Tampa market, responding to the sustained demand for Peak 10’s cloud and data center services to support the region’s prospering business and technology communities. The opening of the 60,000-sq ft facility brings Peak 10’s entire Tampa footprint to more than 129,000 sq ft, and its total Florida footprint to roughly 230,000 sq ft.
“With our new, state of the art, custom-built data center now open for business, we have hosted an influx of businesses for a tour of the facility to learning how Peak 10 can support their IT infrastructure, business continuity and overall business growth,” stated Cheryl Kleiman, vice president and general manager for Peak 10, overseeing Tampa operations. “We are proud of our growing footprint in the region and excited that our new data center campus is a technology hub for supporting the local business economy.”
The new two-story facility offers many unique security and performance features to support the region’s prospering business and technology communities within Florida’s High Tech Corridor. Built to withstand a Category 5 Hurricane, the building is the only one of its kind in the Tampa Bay area. It recently won the Best Overall in the Industrial/Process/Research Category for the Florida Region Design-Build Awards.
Regional businesses, local media and elected officials joined Peak 10 at the new data center located at 8350 Parkedge Drive in Tampa this morning for the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Peak 10’s Tampa presence. By delivering tailored, secure IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions, Peak 10 allows regional businesses to grow without having to invest capital into their own hardware or infrastructure.
As testament to growth potential, the facility’s first fully operational tenant, Five Points Technology Group, a Bradenton, FL-based provider of software development, project management, business process redesign and consulting services primarily for the Human Services market, has already secured its space in the data center as way to increase IT performance and bolster its IT expertise.
“Peak 10 has been a phenomenal company to work with," said Jordan Amerman, IT project manager for Five Points. "Our team was delighted with the colocation and hosting options available to us from a single service provider. Our high speed virtual private link between two data centers in different states helps us provide the performance and availability our customers expect. From the first-class facility and leading-edge technology to the outstanding team of professionals that feel like an extension of our own team, Peak 10 has made it easy for us to focus on what we love to do: build great software for our customers.”
In addition to its facilities in Tampa, Peak 10 owns and operates multiple data centers in nine other U.S. markets and serves a diverse range of customers in the U.S. and abroad. The company has received a number of awards and distinctions for its services. It was recently positioned in the “niche player” quadrant of the Gartner. Inc. “Magic Quadrant for Cloud-enabled Managed Hosting, North America” for the second year in a row.
