NEF has announced the latest enhancements to its innovative telecom network intelligence and maps platform, FiberLocator®. The enhanced platform is now faster and easier to use, featuring newly available information and the routes of industry-leading network providers, as well as increased security, additional customization capabilities, and a clean, modern interface that enables more intuitive workflow.
FiberLocator 2.0 is the most comprehensive carrier-neutral fiber mapping tool on the market, providing telecommunications networking stakeholders with a more efficient, simplified and cost-effective solution for accurate fiber mapping research available in an online Software-as-a Service (SaaS) application, via multi-user enterprise access, or streamlined into their existing platforms via an API. The latest enhancements to the telecommunications and data center database also provide users with more descriptive intelligence and transparency into available metro and long-haul optical fiber networks, data center space and lit buildings all over the country, allowing companies to plan better while saving money and creating more efficient networks.
“FiberLocator 2.0 provides users with access to our growing database of 288 unique carriers, 389,091 lit building records, and 6,793 data centers, providing the visibility for companies to dynamically design and build smarter networks more efficiently and cost-effectively,” explains Steve McCarthy, chief operating officer at NEF. “Beyond simplifying network planning and research, NEF is a full-service company, providing our customers access to a comprehensive service suite including brokerage and consultancy offerings. Our goal is to make our customers’ lives easier, and our latest enhancements to FiberLocator are a testament to that promise.”
