Infomart Data Centers has announced that its Infomart Dallas data center has achieved Statement on Standards of Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE 16) Type 1, SSAE 16 Type 1 SOC 2, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Audited and confirmed by A-lign, an independent and accredited certification body based in the United States, the certifications demonstrate Infomart Data Centers’ ongoing commitment to ensuring its infrastructure meets rigorous industry standards for security, environmental controls, availability, and data privacy.
“At Infomart, security is a critical element of our business that customers can truly rely on, and achieving SSAE 16, PCI DSS, and HIPAA certifications is a validation of our standards of excellence,” says John Sheputis, president of Infomart Data Centers. “Compliance departments of companies doing business with Infomart can rest assured knowing that we take security, reliability, and data protection seriously.”
Under SSAE 16, data center providers that host systems relevant to their customers’ financial reporting are responsible for control over those systems, including physical security and environmental controls. Infomart Dallas’ SSAE 16 accreditations demonstrate compliance with the certifications’ standards for design and execution of operational controls, as well as its ability to offer customers the highest levels of security and availability. The data center offers an aggressive 100% uptime Service Level Agreement (SLA) and has been operating without an SLA event for over six years.
Achieving PCI DSS compliance affirms the suitability of Infomart Dallas’ design as well as the operating effectiveness of controls in accordance with PCI Security Standards Council standards. The designation ensures Infomart Dallas’ safe handling of sensitive customer information and proactive protection of customer account data.
Infomart is dedicated to providing industry-leading security for its healthcare clients in both storage and transmission of highly sensitive documents. By completing the HIPAA assessment, Infomart Dallas confirms its compliance with HIPAA’s Security Rule for policy, procedure and documentation, administrative and physical safeguards, procedures, and organizational safety requirements. The assessment also found Infomart Dallas in compliance with Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) breach reporting requirements.
Infomart Dallas is also currently in the process of securing SSAE 16 Type 2 certification, which will affirm the data center’s systems and the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of its controls, as well as The Uptime Institute Management & Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval, which will validate its critical facilities management and operations practices, and anticipates to secure both designations within a year.
