Home » Texas Lone Star Network To Expand Into Data Foundry's Houston 2 Data Center
Texas Lone Star Network (TLSN) has announced it has established a point of presence at Data Foundry's newest data center, Houston 2, located in North Houston. Houston 2 is a 350,000 sq ft purpose-built, concurrently maintainable data center with 60 megawatts of power, 185 mph wind-rated structure and carrier neutral access to 11+ telecom carriers.
TLSN deployed Cisco Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) capabilities connecting Data Foundry's flagship data center, Texas 1 in Austin, TX, directly with Houston 2. TLSN coordinated the project on behalf of BCI, a partnership of Brazoria Telephone, Colorado Valley Telephone, and Industry Telephone, all members of TLSN. TLSN also turned up its first optical wavelength, connecting customer traffic to both data center facilities.
