EdgeConneX® has announced a new partnership with FiberLight, LLC, an industry leader in providing high-performance fiber optic network solutions, to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable high-performance network connectivity to its newly launched Miami Edge Data Center® (EDC). EdgeConneX customers will have access to IP — Virtual Private Network (IP VPN), Dark Fiber and Lit Fiber services over FiberLight’s best-in-class, dense fiber optic infrastructure to ensure dynamic content delivery to local-market consumers.

Building directly into the Miami EDC by way of the facility’s diverse building Points of Entry (POEs), FiberLight offers a reliable network solution for EdgeConneX customers, including wireless carriers, service providers, CDN and enterprise clients. Combining the EdgeConneX state-of-the-art Edge Data Center facility and FiberLight’s newly upgraded South Florida core network, the partnership also delivers carrier-class connectivity services to the companies’ largest common content customers. Furthermore, it provides low latency connectivity directly into the NAP of the Americas, enabling access to the facility’s 160 global carriers and seven Tier 1 service providers.

“FiberLight’s robust presence in rapidly growing U.S. metro markets syncs with our own current and future roadmap for Edge Data Center expansion, making it an ideal partner for EdgeConneX,” remarks Clint Heiden, chief commercial officer at EdgeConneX. “Our Edge Data Center coupled with FiberLight’s high-performance fiber optic offerings ensure that we are able to provide the fastest delivery of bandwidth-intensive, latency-sensitive content and applications to local South Florida consumers and enterprises.”
