Rittal Corporation has announced it has manufactured 10 million TS 8 bayed enclosure systems since the product’s launch in 1999.

Rittal TS 8 systems are now used in 92% of the world’s 1,005 branches of industry, to enclose equipment used for:

  • Power distribution
  • Industrial automation
  • Facility management
  • Data centers

The TS 8 is a uniform and universal system platform offering a single range of accessories.

“Our customers can implement individual enclosure solutions within the shortest possible time, based on the globally unique range of accessories,” explains Dr. Thomas Steffen, vice president research and quality management at Rittal. “Almost everything fits and works intuitively because the TS 8’s components are kept standardized and simple.”

Builders save time and costs using the TS 8 baying system because it promotes synergy with other types of Rittal enclosures, including the SE 8 system enclosure, the CM compact enclosure, the PC enclosure and the TP TopConsole system. This is made possible with the extended assembly space made available for the faster mounting of accessories and these features:

  • The “Flex-Block” base/plinth system for one-person, tool-free assembly
  • Positioning aids
  • Tool-free clip fastenings

Rittal’s own accredited quality lab guarantees adherence to national and international quality and customer satisfaction standards.

For example, three-phase surface protection offers protection against corrosion, as required in the automotive industry. This entails nanoceramic pre-treatment, electrophoretic dipcoat-priming and subsequent powder-coating.

In addition to being manufactured in the U.S. at Urbana, Ohio, the TS 8 is now manufactured in the U.K., India, China and Germany.

Customers can obtain immediate product availability at 90 storage locations worldwide.
