365 Data Centers has announced that chief commercial officer Keao Caindec will explore the topic, "Making 4K Multiscreen Video a Reality," at Streaming Media East in New York City taking place May 12-13. Caindec will discuss how the rollout of advanced broadband technologies enable multi-screen 4K/UHD video to the home, the challenges this traffic growth presents and the changes required of Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), carriers, and content providers to address these challenges. The discussion will occur at the New York Hilton Midtown at 3:10 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, May 12.

Caindec will analyze the impact that technologies such as DOCSIS 3.1 will have on traditional content delivery models by increasing broadband speeds in the home up to 1Gbps. He will examine the next-generation access edge and OTT video delivery. His presentation is part of the Discovery Track sessions that will be moderated by Streaming Media magazine editor, Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen.

"As the consumption of rich media and video explodes, Internet traffic growth will make traditional content delivery models obsolete and require big changes for CDNs, carriers, and content providers," said Keao Caindec, CCO, 365 Data Centers. "The industry has completely underestimated the broad impact OTT and cord cutters will have on the Internet and subscriber growth."
