C&D Technologies, Inc. has released its new Pure-Lead Plus Battery Technology for the data center market. The unique properties of this battery allow for extended life in elevated temperature environments.

“Electric power consumption is a key driver of data center operating costs.  Pure Lead Plus batteries can perform in higher temperature environments, which means less air conditioning and significant savings for our data center customers” stated Ron Wood, VP of Product Management and Marketing for C&D Technologies.

Pure Lead Plus received very positive feedback during C&D’s presentation at the Mission Critical and Data Center Expo held in Atlanta the early part of February. The presentation addressed improving energy efficiency using Pure-Lead Battery Technology.

“Not only can this new technology allow for reduced operating expenses, but the extended service life of the Pure-Lead Plus battery can also extend the battery system replacement cycle, dramatically lowering the total capital cost over the lifetime of the Data Center” commented Mike Nispel, director of product management, UPS.
