C&D Technologies has named Armand Lauzon Jr. as president and CEO, effective February 24th.

"I am excited with the opportunity to work with the team at C&D", stated Lauzon. "C&D is well positioned to take advantage of the growing global need for reliable stationary power solutions."

"We welcome Armand to C&D. His experience in growing successful companies is a perfect fit for the next stage of C&D", commented David Treadwell, chairman of C&D Technologies. "All of us involved with C&D would like to thank Christian Rheault, our outgoing CEO, for his hard work in moving C&D forward over the past few years. The company has shown significant improvement in virtually all of our operating metrics, an essential component of being a top level company. We wish him well in his future endeavors."

For the past 13 years, Lauzon has served as CEO and board member of three portfolio companies of the Carlyle Group, one of the largest and most successful PE firms with $200+ billion in assets. Armand joined the Carlyle Group from Precision Castparts Corporation, a world leader in structural investment castings, forged components, and airfoil castings for aircraft engines.
