Anord Critical Power, Inc. has announced its notable 2014 growth. Headquarters and manufacturing site expansion, as well as new partnerships drive momentum.

To more efficiently support its North American customer needs, Anord expanded to a new 50, 000 sq ft headquarters in Sandston, Henrico County, VA. The expanded facilities include a manufacturing space for its Form 4b Type 7 design AMS switchgear, 5,000 sq ft of office space, and a 700 sq ft product training center. Additionally, the expanding operation is expected to create nearly 70 new job opportunities over the next five years.

The Form 4b Type 7 switchgear offers greater advantages to U.S. data centers and colocation facilities, allowing investment in superior power system protection with system fault resilience, enhanced operator safety and a higher level of arc containment. Since its U.S. launch in January 2014, the company and its switchgear has:

  • Achieved UL-rating
  • Been recognized among theCRN 2015 Data Center 100 list of 20 Infrastructure Providers
  • Received the 2014 infoTECH Spotlight Data Center Excellence Award

During 2014, Anord also established strategic partnerships with leading national manufacturers representatives as:

  • eSite Systems
  • Wavetech Associates
  • Infrastructure Service Solutions (ISS)
  • Critical Components, Inc.

Additionally, the company expanded its operational, engineering, and U.S. project teams to include Robert Sweaney as VP of Operations, Patrick Burke as engineering director, Kris Morgheim as project manager and Rick Wright as plant manager.

Throughout the year, the marketplace expressed considerable interest within the company’s new offering and industry insight, as company executives were invited to speak at industry events such as AFCOM, 7x24xChange, and Data Center Dynamics. This interest continues through 2015, as Anord executives will be presenting at AFCOM symposiums, as well as the upcoming Data Center World Global Conference in April.

“The U.S. introduction of Anord’s AMS Switchgear and the company’s new headquarters, underscores our growth and product acceptance within the U.S. market,” said John Day, vice president of sales and marketing for Anord Critical Power, Inc. “We have achieved many of our milestones within the first year and have set the bar even higher for 2015 and beyond.”
