Dave Sterlace, market development manager, data centers and critical power, at ABB, was elected chair of the U.S. Marketing Work Group for The Green Grid® Association, the global authority on effective and accountable resource efficiency across the entire information and communications technology (ICT) ecosystem.

Sterlace’s role will be to advise and execute internal and external marketing and public relations efforts for The Green Grid in the United States, and reports to The Green Grid’s Global Marketing Committee. Sterlace’s colleague at ABB, Marina Thiry, director, strategic marketing, data centers, nominated him for the position. All members of The Green Grid were eligible to vote, and the board of directors confirmed his election on Dec. 17.

“I’m looking forward to serving The Green Grid and its mission of driving accountable, effective, resource-efficient, end-to-end ICT ecosystems,” said Sterlace. “I will be encouraging my colleagues in ABB and Thomas & Betts to participate. Fostering better resource efficiency helps our customers and us.”

“Dave’s background in the data center and critical power industries will be an asset to our marketing and public relations efforts in the United States,” said Roger Tipley, vice president of industry and government alliances at Schneider Electric and president and chairman of the board for The Green Grid. “We appreciate Dave’s commitment to The Green Grid and its mission.”
