QTS Realty Trust has been selected to host Mansfield Oil's data center. Mansfield Oil is a national leader in the North American energy supply, logistics and services enterprise market.

Mansfield Oil transitioned its self-owned data center to the QTS Suwanee data center facility in an effort to improve uptime and increase business continuity. The transition also allowed QTS to help Mansfield Oil reshape and stabilize its core infrastructure platforms, transition network carriers, reconfigure and upgrade hardware, and more.

"We realized that it doesn't make sense for Mansfield Oil to be in the data center business, when experts like QTS build and maintain data centers at a level beyond what we can manage in terms of security, monitoring and technology," said Hercu Rabsatt, director of Infrastructure and Service Management in Business Technology, Mansfield Oil. "With their flawless attention to detail and high availability, QTS was clearly the best data center provider for our complex needs."

In addition to moving its physical assets — servers, storage hardware, racks and cables – Mansfield Oil also migrated its IT infrastructure team to the 370,000 square foot QTS facility, where they benefit from QTS' industry-leading physical and logical security measures, and direct exposure to QTS data center operations experts. The Suwanee facility is home to QTS' National Operations Service Center, which provides 24x7x365 monitoring and support for data center customers across the world.

"We are proud to provide Mansfield Oil with our reliable, secure and more productive data center facility," said Jim Reinhart, chief operating officer, Development and Operations, QTS. "Our custom data center solutions are flexible to meet specific customers' requirements without exposing our customers to the risks and challenges of buying, building and operating their own facility."
