Hurricane Electric has announced a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Colo Atl, Atlanta’s premier colocation facility located at 55 Marietta Street, Suites 570 & 800, Atlanta, GA 30303. Colo Atl is a SSAE 16 certified facility.

Colo Atl was established over ten years ago and offers expert colocation services, which now includes expanded access to Hurricane’s robust Internet backbone. Within its global network, Hurricane Electric is connected to 80 major exchange points and exchanges traffic directly with more than 3,500 different networks. Now live with its second PoP at Colo Atl, customers of the facility will now have access to Hurricane Electric’s  rich global network through 100GE (100 gigabit Ethernet), 10GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and 100BaseT network connections. All of Hurricane Electric’s core nodes have 100 Gbps or multiple 10 Gbps (OC-192 / STM-64) connections.
