Ascent and Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT have announced that a Fortune 100 company is the newest tenant to occupy a multi-tenant wholesale colocation suite in its CH2 data center facility located in Northlake, IL.

CH2 is a 250,000-sq-ft, multi-tenant facility that features a purpose-built Dynamic Data Center SuiteSM model and a shared infrastructure colocation suite. The facility provides tenants with benefits such as low power usage effectiveness (PUE), free cooling for approximately 45% of the year, hot aisle containment and an onsite transmission substation offering up to 54 MW of power.

“For this user, we delivered an enterprise-level data center space ready from shell to customized power delivery and cooling in just 10 weeks,” said Phil Horstmann, CEO of Ascent. “Tenants of this new space are able to take advantage of the data center solutions that come with Ascent’s built-to-suit Dynamic Data Center Suite model, with the added flexibility, cost benefits and a rapidly deployable timeframe that a colocation suite provides.”

With the infrastructure already in place to support the new tenant, the remaining capacity in the multi-tenant suite is ready to be quickly deployed to additional companies.
