CyrusOne Completes Construction Of Its Second Phoenix Data Center
Newest 120,000-sq-ft enterprise-class data center commissioning took just 107 days to complete from the ground up.
CyrusOne has announced that its newest 120,000-sq-ft Phoenix II data center facility is now operational, including the full commissioning of the pre-leased 30,000 sq ft of colocation space (CSF) previously announced. The Phoenix II facility is ultimately planned to be 240,000 sq ft and will be able to deliver up to 24 megawatts of power to serve enterprises needing a data center provider in the Western region of the United States. CyrusOne completed this project in 107 days, in what is believed to be the fastest data center construction project built from the ground up in the United States.
“A typical enterprise could spend significantly more capital and could take almost three years longer to build the same facility that CyrusOne just completed in 107 days,” said Gary Wojtaszek, president and CEO, CyrusOne. “We’ve seen strong demand in our Phoenix market. We completely leased our first facility in 18 months, built our second facility on the campus, and pre-leased 100 percent of what we just commissioned, all in less than two years. Enterprises, including the Fortune 100 cloud provider leasing space in the new facility, now recognize that we can quickly and efficiently scale to meet their constantly changing IT demands.”
