Generac Power Systems recently began shipping its 400 kW gaseous-fueled standby generators, and unveiled a new 350 kW gaseous-fueled standby generator to its nationwide dealer network. As a single unit or configured in parallel up to 6 MW, the 400 kW and 350 kW generators provide a powerful natural gas alternative to diesel standby power systems.
Both the 350 and 400 kW units are powered by a Generac 21.9L V12 turbocharged after-cooled engine. This engine allows the 350 kW unit in particular to provide best-in-class derate capabilities with maximum power. As the designer and manufacturer of the engine, Generac is able to secure a number of regulatory certifications at the factory. Both generators are factory EPA certified for stationary emergency power, and SCAQMD (California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District) certified.
