PHLIX Launches New Internet Exchange Point In Philadelphia
Launch event on September 17 will showcase enhanced peering options for Philadelphia-area networks.
Philadelphia Internet Exchange (PHLIX) is a new community-focused Internet Exchange Point (IXP) working with regional network operators to grow and enhance connectivity options throughout Philadelphia. The public Internet Exchange has built a distributed peering platform spanning five-buildings throughout Philadelphia specifically dedicated to increase network-to-network connectivity and performance, decrease costs and provide companies access to a carrier-class Layer 2 networking fabric.
The company is celebrating its launch on September 17, 2014 with an open networking event at the Yards Brewing Company from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, where PHLIX, together with sponsors Inerail and vXchnge, will officially welcome the Internet community to Philadelphia.
