Google's Joe Kava to Speak At Critical Facilities Summit
The event will be held September 29 through October 1 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC.
The Critical Facilities Summit (CFS), the only event focused exclusively on the design, construction and management of mission critical facilities, will be featuring presenter Joe Kava, vice president of data centers at Google.
Kava will team with Joel Stone, vice president of global data center operations at CenturyLink Technology Solutions and Kristen Vosmaer, principal at CFT Eco & CTS Eco to present “Successful Staffing Strategies for Data Centers.” The program will discuss what it takes to build an effective team and the impact that variables such as corporate culture and geography can have on the hiring and retention process. Kava, Stone and Vosmaer will give insight on how recruiting can — and should — differ in a saturated versus emerging market, where to find staffing resources beyond the military, and how to manage the transition for employees coming over from competitors.
