AnyPresence Named ‘Cool Vendor in PaaS, 2014’ By Gartner
Enterprise Backend-as-a-Service recognized for being innovative, impactful, and intriguing.
AnyPresence has announced that it has been named a "Cool Vendor in PaaS, 2014” by Gartner Inc. The report identifies four innovative vendors and highlights some of the many ways in which PaaS companies have impacted the industry in the past year. AnyPresence was evaluated along with other candidates based on the analysis provided by Gartner Research.
"We are honored to be recognized by Gartner as a cool vendor in PaaS," said AC Chakrabarti, co-founder and CEO of AnyPresence. "As enterprises continue to search for reliable, proven solutions to help them embrace cloud, mobile and BYOD trends, this recognition re-affirms AnyPresence as a leader in providing innovative solutions for mobile-enabling enterprise business processes, products, and services.”
Specific to current trends in mobile application development, AnyPresence is a part of the “transition from the monolithic server-based middleware approach historically associated with enterprise focused mobile application development platforms (MADPs) to an incremental, pay-as-you-go cloud-hosted model introduced by mBaaS.” Gartner Analyst Richard Marshall also notes that “Pure-play mBaaS providers have typically focused on individual developers or startups in the consumer application market, and have lacked the capabilities required to support enterprise use.”
In addition to having the most comprehensive set of enterprise backend service features, AnyPresence is the only vendor that offers an API-based app creation engine. This unique capability empowers organizations to enhance existing API management investments and enable both internal and external developer ecosystems to build cross platform mobile apps in minutes, with 100% non-proprietary, portable source code.
