EdgeConneX® Launches New Salt Lake City Edge Data Center®
New wholesale and colocation offerings are designed to bring critical connectivity to the Salt Lake City Metro area.
EdgeConneX® has announced the launch of its newest Edge Data Center® serving the Salt Lake City metro area, located at 2302 Presidents Drive, West Valley City, UT. The Salt Lake City facility is designed to bring distributed colocation closer to key broadband provider aggregation points, ensuring the most efficient and reliable content delivery to end-users.
The facility offers a variety of wholesale and colocation options, ranging in scalability from a single rack, to multi-rack systems, to private, custom cages. The EdgeConneX Salt Lake City facility features robust, redundant power, high-density cooling and diverse fiber connectivity between other Edge Data Centers, including those in Houston, Denver, Phoenix and Las Vegas. This Edge Data Center is also optimally located near downtown Salt Lake City, the Salt Lake City International Airport, and is in close proximity to main telecommunications and fiber hubs.
“Extending our national Edge Data Center footprint is key in enabling providers to bring their bandwidth-intensive content and applications closer to the edge of the network, and will remain an ongoing mission of EdgeConneX throughout 2014 and beyond,” remarks Clint Heiden, chief commercial officer at EdgeConneX. “By extending our network reach through our innovative distribution model, EdgeConneX can provide customers with a superior content delivery experience.”
