EdgeConneX® has partnered with Integra to deploy fiber network connectivity to its Edge Data Centers®. Initial locations will include Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Seattle, Portland and Sacramento, with plans to connect to additional Edge Data Centers in the future.

EdgeConneX specializes in providing purpose-built, edge of network hosting solutions that enable the fastest physical delivery of content to consumers. EdgeConneX is creating a new edge of the Internet by designing and deploying Edge Data Centers that are strategically positioned nearest to network provider aggregation points, ensuring lowest latency data delivery as well as improved quality of service.

Integra maintains an extensive network footprint across the Western United States, offering EdgeConneX customers access to over 9,000 route miles of flexible, highly scalable and secure long-haul fiber-optic network connectivity from each Edge Data Center. This solution enables Edge Data Center tenants to tap into virtually unlimited bandwidth and achieve more reliable fiber connectivity, exceptional performance and faster delivery of end-user content.

“As we cross into the zettabyte era and face even more sophisticated user demands, we must focus on developing and deploying networks that provide faster and more reliable data connections,” says Dan Stoll, SVP of Strategy and Development at Integra. “Accessing our extensive fiber network allows EdgeConneX to bring content closer to end-users within major metro markets with reduced network latency, delivering content faster than ever before.”

“With a reliable, high-speed backbone, Integra was a perfect strategic partner for EdgeConneX as we continue to extend our reach, optimize delivery of data and ensure an exceptional end-user experience,” adds Clint Heiden, chief commercial officer at EdgeConneX. “Connecting our Edge Data Centers with Integra’s extensive fiber network is another giant step forward in alleviating widespread Internet congestion.”
