Interoute Opens Sixth European Virtual Data Centre In Milan

Interoute has opened a new Virtual Data Centre (VDC) zone in Milan. Built into the core of its pan-European network, Interoute VDC enables organizations to deploy virtual computing and storage infrastructure for enterprise applications in minutes. Users can select any of six Interoute VDC zones in Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva, London, Paris, and now Milan to host their data. Internet data transfer data between VDC zones is free thanks to the integration of Interoute’s advanced network.
Estimated at US$1.35 billion in 2013, the European Infrastructure-as-a-Service (or cloud computing) market is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 66% between 2012 and 2018 (Frost & Sullivan).
