Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) has announced that it has become a Technology Sponsor of Cloud World Series (CWS) events. As a CWS partner, ODCA will hold leadership events and experts from its membership will deliver keynotes, participate in panels, and lead technology sessions focused on best practices for open enterprise cloud computing at CWS events around the globe. The partnership provides CWS event attendees with a unique opportunity to meet and learn from ODCA members who are leaders in driving the open enterprise cloud.
"The Cloud World Series are important events for bringing enterprise IT experts together to address some of the most important issues facing the data center today," said Correy Voo, president of the ODCA Board of Directors and chief technology officer at UBS. "We're excited to be collaborating with CWS in markets around the world and look forward to demonstrating how our members are using ODCA usage models to unlock the business benefits associated with open enterprise cloud computing and to ease and speed the migration of data center IT operations to the cloud."
"We are very much looking forward to our partnership with one of the leading associations in the Cloud sphere; the expertise and know-how of ODCA will become an integral part of our end-user led agendas in our events globally," added Georgios Kipouros, head of production for the Cloud World Series.
Partnership Kicks-off in April in Munich at the Telco Cloud World Forum
ODCA and CWS will begin the European component of the 2014 events partnership at the Telco Cloud World Forum taking place in Munich on April 28 – 30. ODCA will hold a full day technology workshop on April 28 hosted by Mario Mueller, ODCA chair and vice president of IT Infrastructure, BMW; Catherine Spence, chair of the ODCA Technical Coordination Committee and senior enterprise architect, Intel; Martin Heisig, ODCA board member and senior vice president Infrastructure Services, SAP; and Reyk Bederke, ODCA board member and portfolio and solution design, T-Systems International GmbH. CWS participants attending the session will understand how these ODCA members are deploying cloud today, how ODCA has helped shape corporate strategies for cloud deployments, and how enterprises and telecom providers are using ODCA usage models as the foundation for deploying a variety of virtualized enterprise cloud services. All Telco World Forum attendees are welcome to attend this interactive educational session to learn more about how their own organization can potentially benefit from engagement with the Alliance. Workshop attendees will also benefit from a complimentary registration to ODCA's upcoming Forecast 2014 event happening in San Francisco on Sept 22-24, 2014 and may register to attend Forecast by sending an email to forecast2014@odca.org
ODCA members will showcase enterprise cloud usage models and demonstrate how enterprises are adopting these requirements as the blueprint for developing cloud strategies and implementations with full day workshops at the CWS Cloud World Forum in London on June 17 and 18 and the Cloud World Asia Forum in Hong Kong on November 25 – 27, 2014. In addition to the planned workshops, ODCA will be delivering executive presentations at other CWS events across the globe.
